All Catholic children (and adults) need to know about Jesus, the Bible, the
church, the sacraments and our traditions to
have a firm foundation for their faith. Not all children attend Catholic
schools for various reasons. This ministry hopes to
supplement the basic education children receive in public schools. We use
materials approved by the Diocese of
Memphis in our classes.
Our program is open for children 3 years and older through
Adult. Children preparing for sacraments are pulled out of
regular classes for intensive preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist and
Confirmation.
Because of our small numbers, classes are combined to be
able to provide a good classroom environment. Our teachers
are volunteers, but they are required to attend training to provide quality
instruction for our children. This past year we
added an Adult class. While numbers are small, the class was active and
excited to have the opportunity to continue to
learn more about their faith.
