Special point of interest about Linda is that she started our biggest
fundraiser, Eaglefest,
and was the chairperson for 13 years.
Special point of interest about Deacon Don is that he was the first
Deacon ever ever assigned
to the prison ministry licensed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Work experience: Vernua has been working for
the center for Neighborhoods from 1991 until present.
Before that she was a teacher at Memphis Catholic High School
from 1985- 1990.
Special Interest: Vernua loves to read, work in
the garden and is working with youth
as a basketball and track coach. Special point of interest
about Vernua is that she co- wrote the
Youth Opportunity grant for the City of Memphis and the grant
was awarded to the City of Memphis.
Work experience: Dr.Bryne in working as the
President of Tennessee Mentorship works
in and with the Frayser community to make improvements.
Special Interest: When he is not improving
Frayser, he and his wife keep a garden.
Special point of interest about Dr. Byrne is that he was on the
President's committee on
Employment of Handicapped from 1980- 1981.
Barbara Pettit
Work experience: Barbara has been the Principal
of OLS for the past 3 years.
Before that she was the Academic Dean at Memphis Catholic High
School from1993 to 2000.
Special Interest: Loves to play with
grandchildren and read.
Special point of interest about Barbara is that she lived in
Cicely, Italy
for 3 years and taught for the Department of Defense, in the
school on base.
Work experience: Henry has been part owner of
Resource Label Group for the past 4 years.
Before that he was the Vice -President of Sonoco Ingraph for 11
years.
Special Interest: Henry loves food, wine and
church.
Special point of interest about Henry is that he used to play
rock and roll on his electric guitar.
Sharon Masterson:
Work experience: Sharon has been with the
Catholic Diocese Of Memphis for the last
15 years and her background is in information and development.
She is currently at St. Benedict School.
Special Interest: Special point of interest
about Sharon is that she was the first woman as the
General Manager for the Memphis Blues for 1 year in the early70's.
At that time she was the only woman GM in all of pro and semi-pro sports.
Work experience: Kathy has been working for the
Diocese of Memphis for 29 years.
Began as a bookkeeper and was promoted to Head Bookkeeper. Kathy
decided to transfer to
OLS as the bookkeeper and returned to the Diocese.
Special Interest: Crochet, play with
grandchildren and camping
Special point of interest about Kathy is that she was a Girl
Scout Leader for 5 years
and also a t-ball coach at OLS.
