Mission Statement
The PURPOSE of
the youth ministry at Our Lady of Sorrows Church is to be a community of fun
and faith; called by
God to dwell in an extended family, committed to Jesus
Christ as Lord of our whole lives, caring for others along the
journey of faith
through authentic relationships, and cultivating faith in our lives and in the
lives of others.
The GOAL of youth
ministry at Our Lady of Sorrows is to foster Christ-embracing faith in the
lives of
6th – 12th grade students.
The MINISTRY STRATEGY
by which we achieve our goal is through programs that:
Expose youth and families to the
love-fueled grace of Jesus Christ.
Establish an atmosphere of acceptance,
inclusion, and fun among peers and adults.
Equip students with tools and
practical skills for personal spiritual growth and community discipleship.
Experience deeper transformation by
teaching and living ministry leadership and service.
